September 26: IPS in Action - Sri Lanka Implementation

Objective:
To showcase the practical implementation of IPS structure-based encounter summaries in Sri Lanka, highlighting the ongoing deployment and sharing real-world experiences.

Agenda:

  • Introduction to Sri Lanka IPS Project:
    • Overview of the project and its goals.
    • Key stakeholders and their roles.

Introduction to Sri Lanka IPS Project: The Sri Lanka IPS project is a significant initiative aimed at integrating the International Patient Summary into the country’s healthcare system. This session will provide an overview of the project, detailing its primary objectives and expected outcomes. Participants will learn about the project’s scope, which includes improving patient data interoperability and enhancing healthcare delivery efficiency. Key stakeholders, including government bodies, healthcare providers, and technology partners, will be introduced, highlighting their roles and contributions to the project’s success.

  • Technical Demonstration:
    • Live demonstration of the IPS system in Sri Lanka.
    • Key configurations, system architecture, and workflow.

Technical Demonstration: A live technical demonstration will showcase the IPS system as implemented in Sri Lanka. This demonstration will provide a comprehensive look at the system’s architecture, key configurations, and workflows. Attendees will witness firsthand how patient data is captured, stored, and exchanged within the IPS framework. The demonstration will include a walkthrough of the user interface, system functionalities, and integration points with existing healthcare systems, offering a clear understanding of the technical aspects and practical benefits of the IPS implementation.

  • Interactive Q&A Session:
    • Addressing participant queries and discussing the implementation experience.

Interactive Q&A Session: Following the detailed presentation and demonstration, an interactive Q&A session will be held to address any questions participants may have. This session will provide an opportunity for attendees to engage with the project team, seek clarifications, and discuss specific aspects of the Sri Lanka implementation. The open dialogue will help participants better understand the practicalities involved in deploying IPS and how to apply these lessons to their contexts.
