REMINDER and TIME CHANGE OpenHIE Health Worker Registry Community Call: TODAY March 18th 9:00am EDT: Agenda and Conference Bridge

Dear OpenHIE Health Worker Community Members,

Please note the time changes for our African Community Members!

My apologies for the late notice, but
this is a reminder that we are having our bi-weekly community call tomorrow at
9 am Eastern Daylight Time which is the following times in countries:
14:00 Nigeria, 15:00 in Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana, and 16:00 in the remaining East African countries. You can use skype to call in to
the number below. Simply select USA as the calling destination and then dial 800-220-9875. When prompted dial the passcode
34048002. Alternatively, I’m happy to patch you into the call by calling your Skype ID. Simply let me know what’s most convenient for you.

Prior to the call, please take a moment to check out three pages for the newly launched OpenHIE Website.

https://ohie.org/health-worker-registry/
Check out our community’s new page on the website. What do you think? Does it capture what our community is all about? Does it explain the basics of what you understand a HWR to be?

https://ohie.org/#arch
Please check out the summary section of for the OpenHIE Architecture. Please take a close look at the architecture diagram. Some changes were made to the diagram and we want to hear your thoughts on it’s efficacy to illustrate the flow of data between
the shared services (various components such as the HWR) and point of service applications and actors (health workers, labs, mhealh applications, etc).

https://ohie.org/#ourwork
Select implementations and you’ll see the countries where we list active projects. No matter what stage you’re implementing a component of the HIE, I’d like to recommend we promote it here. This will hopefully attract additional support from those people
in your country that stumble upon this website and want to get involved. Sometimes people just need to see something has started to want to take the next step.

Many thanks

Dear All,

So sorry I missed today’s community call. I was out of town with limited access to my email so I did not notice the 1 hour time change. I called in at 3pm only to find out that the call had just ended.

I actually looked forward to this week’s call to report a number of new developments from Nigeria.

Michael, I am trying to read the notes from the call but I get the message “Such a padname is forbidden”

Thanks,
