We have an outstanding question from Friday’s community call. We need to be able to associate a facility against three core hierarchies, geographic, reporting/administrative and supply chain (distribution network). Can the CSD and mCSD standard represent these multiple hierarchies for a facility?

Sorry for the delayed response. In CSD, you can use the csd:organization/ to capture multiple hierarchy information. There is a csd:codedType/ (if I recall correctly) that can be used to tag the use of these hierarchies.
For mCSD - I think Luke is proposing to work on a white paper that talks though facility vs organization in HL7 FHIR as there are some subtitles there. I don’t think it has multiple hierarchy support (at least looking at the location resource). We may need to do this as an extension. Luke?
