Patient-Level Data Repository Workshop Session 1

The OpenHIE Community will host a Patient-Level Data Repository Workshop on 22 April 2022 from 8-11 a.m. (EDT) / 12-3 p.m. (UTC) and we invite you to join us!

See below for more details and the connection links!

What’s the Context and Intent?

This workshop is designed to bring together community members to discuss similar work around patient-level data and determine how OpenHIE can synthesize and communicate appropriate guidance and practices.

This conversation will address the similar efforts that have emerged from work that requires an extract from a point-of-care system and a load into a patient-level FHIR (or other) repository. The Shared Health Record (SHR) OHIE documentation was written before FHIR gained momentum and no longer reflects our current recommendations.

Key Focus for This Session:

  • Use cases for shared patient-level-data repository
  • Identify countries or regions where patient-level data repositories are being created
  • Data exchange needed for creating the repository
  • “Requirements” for shared repository of patient-level-data
  • Implementation Guide approaches
