We are having our
OpenHIE Architecture call this Monday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
- Feedback from Supply Chain Community: “It seems that the bottom of the OHIE diagram is very “place” oriented. Do we want to make it more clear that it is Point-of-care SYSTEMS
that are being talked about and not just places like hospital and lab.”
Goal: Hear the feedback and determine if we need to change the diagram to be more clear
- RE product registry - How does this health information fit into the OHIE diagram?
Goal: Begin a group discussion on how products fit into the diagram
- It is just a look up for product names and code?, if so, we can use terminology service. Is it important to curate more information about the prodcts? If so, then we need a registry that is separate.
- do we have examples in if / how implementers are doing this?
Next steps for framing the architecture component requirements
Brainstorm list of topics to cover face-to- face
Goal: If we are able to secure time for discussion in Arusha, what topics do we need to cover?
If you would like to be dialed into the call, please email Jamie Thomas at
