Hi All,
Not sure if we will have time to discuss this today, but I wanted to discuss some recent activity related to the 90-90-90 Clinical Cascade for ART in Namibia. There is a YouTube video w/ a bit of the problem statement and expected approach.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpYjnSvJvoA
One thing that we were looking at is the clinical data that was captured in the various systems. From our perspective, it seemed that putting this into CDAs on OpenSHR was probably too heavy for what we needed. Instead, we are looking at setting up more lightweight transactions/data model using a FHIR Server. This is our “ADT Data Warehouse” in the youtube video. With the FHIR resources, there was quite a good impedance match between the already available FHIR resources and the clinical information that is/needs to be collected.

The original slides should be available here:
Dropbox - namibia_art_openhie.pptx - Simplify your life

Cheers,
-carl
