Join the planning committee for the OpenHIE Implementers Meeting in Tanzania in July

Dear OHIN Community!

The Ministry of Health in Tanzania is excited to collaborate with us to host the first ever OpenHIE Implementers Network Meeting, scheduled to be in Tanzania the week of July 24. We are looking for OHIN members who are interested in joining a planning committee to help us shape the agenda and discussion for a three-day meeting and adjacent two or three day connectathon to advance interoperable solutions for specific use cases. We are envisioning that the main meeting/workshop will include an opening from government officials, keynotes from leaders advancing interoperability, and presentations from regional partners and international groups sharing their approaches to health information exchange, governance, and coordination issues. The hope is that participants will leave the event with a deeper understanding and exposure to data exchange projects at scale; interoperability standards; architectures patterns, tools and methodologies used as well as networking with individuals involved in the work.

By COB Thursday, March 30, please let me (Amanda Bendor - abendor@path.org) or Lorinne Bannister (lwbanist@regenstrief.org) know if you are interested in joining this committee. You may also respond to this group message thread to express interest. Please also let Lorinne and I know if you have experience in any other meetings or events that would be helpful in the planning of this meeting. We hope to set up a planning committee call as soon as next week to get the ball rolling in finalizing the details for this exciting OHIN event in July.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Warmest regards,

Amanda
