Hi all.
I’m using this group to make an “all hands to the oars” call-out. In total, the OpenHIE community has submitted 4 work item proposals to IHE:
- lwPAM – a lightweight, FHIR-based patient administration profile to complement PDQm
- @@H – an “alerts targeted at humans” profile intended to support our OpenHIE alerting workflows
- Aggregate Health Data Exchange – this is a profile proposal regarding the DHIS2 dxf format
- RPE4ICP – this is a white paper proposal co-sponsored by CDC; it is focused on how integrated care pathways (ICPs) can be operationalized within an HIE (using OpenHIE as a prototyped example)
The first two proposals are going before IHE’s IT Infrastructure (ITI) planning committee; the latter two are being brought to the Quality, Research and Public Health (QRPH) planning committee. For both committees, it is a gating process and each proposal will need to be rated, ranked and voted upon. Only the successful proposals become part of the committee’s 2014-2015 work plan.
A number of our OpenHIE community members have joined IHE (and for those who have not yet… please do).
For those that are IHE members, your organization is not eligible to vote unless you have attended two successive committee meetings. Please – go to the ITI planning committee Google Group (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/itiplan) and QRPH planning committee Google Group (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/iheqrphplan) to get plugged into the process and find out the schedule of meetings. If you are not a member of these Google Groups, please apply to join right away (they are both moderated, so it may take a day).
Please – have your representative (or a proxy) attend the upcoming ITI and QRPH meetings so that, when the time comes, we will be able to vote in support of our OpenHIE work items.
Thanks and warmest regards,
Derek.
Thanks for the update and help driving this forward Derek!
