With the postponement of the 2020 OpenHIE Community Meeting virtual events are being looked at to support our community. One option available to the community is virtual lightning talks at the end of July. Lightning talks are the perfect way to share an idea or topic to the larger group in a fun, rapid-fire way. These concise presentations are intended to grab the audience’s attention, and convey what you want people to learn more about within 5 minutes. People are welcome to share any topic you want, but be prepared to do it within the time allotted! As of now we are planning for an hour event which would have room for roughly 10 people to give a lightning talk and time at the end for Q&A. If you’d like to learn more, check out this video for some hints and tricks. If you’re ready to join the fun, please submit your proposed lightning talk topic below!
Please include a title and a short description. Putting “*” in front and behind your title to highlight it in your post.
- Please limit replies only to proposed lightning talks (avoid side discussion) – i.e., if you want to discuss any entry below or this topic in general, click on the timestamp for the post (on the top right edge of it) and then click the “+ New Topic” link to create a linked topic.
- If you want to see something… vote for it! If someone has suggested a lightning talk you would like to see, please “like” the post by clicking its heart icon.
