How to start with OpenEPMI

Dear all,
We are trying to explore on OpenEPMI but we have trouble on install and connect to database, anyone can share me a some interface and how to run OpenEPMI, any reuirement?

Thanks
Sambath

Hi Sambath.

There are, presently, some issues with the OpenEMPI software that our OpenHIE Sandbox team is working with the publisher to resolve. In the meantime, you may want to consider an alternative OpenHIE client registry – which is also open source – the Mohawk CR. Either client registry will work with OpenHIE; they support the same PIX/PDQ interfaces.

I have cc’d Ryan Yates (OpenHIE Sandbox team) and my colleague Justin Fyfe (on sabbatical from Mohawk College, and presently working with me at ecGroup). If you are interested, Sambath, Ryan and Justin can help you install and configure the Mohawk CR (it takes only a few minutes). The Mohawk CR runs on Windows computers and uses a PostreSQL database as the underlying data store.

Warmest regards,

Derek.

Hi Sambath,

SYSNET International, the company that is responsible for the development of OpenEMPI is no longer involved with the OpenHIE group so, I don't usually respond to emails
posted in this forum. The issue that the OpenHIE group was experiencing with OpenEMPI was related to a configuration issue and not an issue with the software itself. I felt
that it was important to correct that inaccuracy in Derek's email which I hope was only accidental.

We provide support for OpenEMPI only through the community forums that you can get to through the main web page for OpenEMPI at http://www.openempi.org (and following the link to resources) or by going to the following URL:

https://kenai.com/projects/openempi/forums/user-forum

Having said that, Sambath, you are more than welcome to try any EMPI that best suits your needs and requirements.

Good luck,
Odysseas

Hi Sambath,

The Mohawk Client registry can be downloaded via the Tech Exchange (http://te.marc-hi.ca/view.aspx?project=67fa30913b01414aaa20399f65e6b406) but there is a demo instance you can “play with” hosted in the cloud. You can get to it at the following endpoints:

HL7 FHIR: http://cr.marc-hi.ca:8080/fhir

HL7v2: llp://cr.marc-hi.ca:2100

PDQv3: http://cr.marc-hi.ca:8080/PDQSupplier
PIXv3: http://cr.marc-hi.ca:8080/PIXManager

Cheers

Justin,

Thanks very much for the note last week about the Mohawk CR. Redwood MedNet is an all Linux shop, so we won’t be looking at the Mohawk CR. Instead, we will concentrate on getting the OpenEMPI services configured correctly.

With best regards,
