Facility Registry Meeting (October 27) - Haiti's Carte Santaire & Terraframe Geoprism Registry Updates

Please join us for our monthly facility registry meeting on Thursday, October 27, at 11:00am US Est. Join from PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android: Launch Meeting - Zoom

We will receive an update from Terraframe, on new GeoPrism Registry features, implementation updates, and discuss how graphs can link data between systems.

We will then have a presentation on the Carte Santaire (CS) – Haiti’s facility Registry.
In Haiti, the CHISU project is supporting the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) to make routine health data more accessible via the Carte Sanitaire, an online, publicly accessible facility registry.

The “health map,” or Carte Sanitaire (CS) in French is the key health system organizational tool in Haiti. Using the DHiS2 web API, this custom PHP web application provides a detailed overview on over 3,000 of the country’s health institutions and includes both structural information (availability of material, technological and human resources) and functional information (activity, survey, use rate). The Carte Sanitaire also reports geolocated health data, health facility contact information, and the availability and type of health services provided in the health facility.

In recent months the Carte Sanitaire has been upgraded to include additional features such as filtering by department within health institutions, real time synchronization of the mobile and web versions, integration of Google Maps, and the latest DHIS2 web API version. Unlocking health data using a public portal like the Carte Sanitaire that builds on existing health information system architecture improves the effectiveness of the overall health information system by making key health indicators more widely available.
