Facility Registry Community Meeting, July 19th - John Spencer from UNC And the SQUAD Tool

Hi All,

Our facility registry community has a meeting tomorrow July 18th @11am ET. We hope that you can make it. We have the pleasure of John Spencer from UNC And Measure Evaluation joining us to share about their work creating tools to improve the quality of geospatial data sets. Here is a quick summary on that effort:

“The growth in large spatially referenced databases such as national master facility lists introduces challenges around assessing data quality. Not only are there issues of spatial accuracy there are issues around agreement between the spatial and attribute domain; resolving these issues manually can be a time consuming process, taking many weeks in large datasets. The SQUAD tool, developed by MEASURE Evaluation, rapidly reviews large spatial datasets to identify data anomalies that are can be indicators of data quality issues. These anomalous records can be prioritized for review, drastically reducing the time and effort around data quality remediation.”

Please join us and come learn how this might be helpful for your programs or partners.
