In case you’ve missed it: The OpenHIE Academy has launched and updated new courses on the website!

  • Course 445 on Using and Implementing Terminology is a follow-up to the course “345-Terminology”. After you have learned the basics of terminology with the first course, it’s time to get into the more practical aspects of using terminology in your implementations. This course takes a globally-focused approach, meaning that the tools and reference terminologies in this course will tend to be more open source and applicable to global health contexts.

  • Course 320 on Identity Management is intended to help share basic information about a client registry with the following types of learners:
:hospital:Health IT Professionals (technologists, implementation leads and business analysts)
:memo:MOH / HIT Leadership (policy makers and decision makers)
:link:Anyone interested in patient identity linking or matching

  • Updated: Course 101 on Introduction to HIE is intended to provide a broad context for health information exchange and OpenHIE. It will introduce key concepts for health information exchange and provide an introduction to how the OpenHIE Community can provide peer learning and support on a journey toward HIE. This course has recently been updated to a more interactive and engaging format!

We hope these courses are helpful to you and your capacity building needs! And don’t forget to check out the certification process and the New Terminology Learning Pathway Blog Post!
