Covid Vaccination Certificates and the FHIR Connectathon

Hi all,

As the recently released World Health Organization (WHO) specification for Digital Documentation of COVID-19 Certificates: Vaccination Status (DDCC:VS) leverages the International Patient Summary’s (IPS’s) Immunization profile, during next week’s Health Level 7 (HL7) Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) Connectathon, there will be an opportunity to test the DDCC Implementation Guide (IG).

The IPS Track at the Connectathon will provide an opportunity for developers and implementers to test the creation and exchange of patient summary data across jurisdictions and usage contexts using the FHIR IPS IG specification and the WHO DDCC:VS IG. During this session, we will provide overviews of the DDCC:VS work and you’ll be able to transform IPS data to and from a WHO DDCC:VS vaccination certificate document

This is a chance to get your hands dirty and learn by helping evolve the FHIR specification. Participating in the Connectathon is an opportunity to work with other FHIR developers and senior members of the FHIR standards development team.
