Case Based Reporting Module - OpenMRS

Regenstrief Institute, as part of a CDC-funded project, is developing a case based reporting (CBR) process that uses an OpenMRS
module
to assist surveillance officers in discovering and submitting case reports for HIV triggers. As part of our work plan for the next 9 months, we plan to integrate this case-based reporting with the OpenHIE
stack (specifically, the client/health worker/facility registries and the SHR). We will be generating CDA documents for case reports and submitting these to the HIE stack using the save patient-level clinical data workflow to store and parse these documents
into the SHR. We will need to demo a prototype of the CBR + OpenHIE stack within the next 4-6 months.

We presented this work on the SHR call on 18 October. (https://wiki.ohie.org/display/resources/2016-10-18+SHR+Community+Calls). We
are committed to ensuring this community as well as the other registry communities are aware of our work. We are also interested in identifying people who may have insights into our proposed process or comments about our plans.

Please respond to this thread with your thoughts and if you are interested in any further information and/or involvement.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Jamie,

I just ran into this topic. Can you provide an update? Also, does this project include the need to make the cases anonymous in the SHR?

Thank you,

Craig
