Hello,
I m Nour, working with a project from South Africa, we currently working with OpenHIM.
Interested to learn more about the implementation of FHIR Implementation Guides related to some tasks in the project.
Thanks:)

Welcome @nour-hooda-borgi! It’s wonderful to meet you and great to see you on the OHIE architecture call earlier today. Did I hear you correctly that you are based out of Tanzania? We do have a subcommunitiy group focused on interoperability and it’s lead/facilitated by the Jembi team that developed OpenHIM. Are there other areas of the OHIE architecture I might be able to help get you connected with?

Hi OpenHIE community

I am Eden Tarimo from Tanzania currently implementing openHIM as part of the Tanzania Health Enterprise Architecture program

I here to learn more on implementation aspects of the FHIR standards and other guidelines

Regards

Hi! I am hoping to implement my work in machine learning for hospital systems (like patient readmission prediction: [1904.05342] ClinicalBERT: Modeling Clinical Notes and Predicting Hospital Readmission) into open source health information systems and open electronic health records.

Happy to chat with anyone interested – feel free to shoot me an email (j@jaan.io) or message!

Hi @matheweden its been awhile good to see you on here. Are you still with PATH? I saw you were on the architecture call the other day where @cleitner1 talked about FHIR IGs. Was this helpful? Do you have any questions?

We do have a subcommunitiy group focused on interoperability and it’s lead/facilitated by the Jembi team (@daniel.futerman) that developed OpenHIM. they host calls where deeper dives can be done around the interoperability layer of OpenHIE’s architecture and people can bring topics to discuss or challenges to work through together, next call is March 15th.

Are there other areas of the OHIE architecture I might be able to help get you connected with?

Hello,
I am Lumiere working in South Africa with Jembi. I am here to learn how I can implement FSH SUSHI to HAPI FHIR. how can I test my bundles against my IGs created with FSH?

Thank you.

Hi @lumieremondo! It’s great to see you in the OpenHIE community. I believe @cleitner1 may be able to help in the question you shared.

Welcome!

Hello friends! I am Alvin Marcelo from Manila, Philippines. My day job is implementing EMR/ERP/LIS/RAD/ESB++ in two hospitals here. My night job is executive director of the Asia eHealth Information Network (www
AeHIN.org) where our members try to solve our own country’s digital health challenges by listening to how our neighbors solve theirs (or why they still didn’t) (answer: we’re all in the same boat).

We’ve always had OpenHIE in our annual meetings since 2013 and we think it addresses what we all need but it just takes time to make governments understand how they can wield it to their advantage. That is our challenge.

Hi my name is Shelby Guthrie! I am a recent hire within Regenstrief and will be working closely with the OHIE and DUC communities. I am also a master’s degree candidate for my Masters of Public Administration where I am working on a project centered around creating an effective internal communications implementation guide. I am located in the southeastern United States or more specifically – Chattanooga, Tennessee. I listen to all kinds of music and only know the genres of “good” or “bad” songs, but my favorite artists are Mac Miller, Ariana Grande, Jack Harlow, Halsey, and Kehlani. looking forward to getting more involved with the OHIE community and hopefully learn some names and faces.

@jonathan welcome!

  1. Engagement in the community
There are a couple of ways that you might get a good picture of the more technical work including the context for FHIR Implementation Guides (FHIR IGs). One is to join in on some of the DevOps Community calls as this is where the detailed nuts and bolts for InstantOpenHIE and other technical issues are discussed. You can see agendas, minutes and details for this call on the wiki page.

  2. Learning more about FHIR and integration
We have some foundational FHIR and other courses in our OpenHIE Academy. One of our partner organizations, AeHIN is also offering some training as noted in their materials.

I hope this is some information to get you started. Let us know if we can be of further help.
