David asked on the last TS Community call whether the latest/current version designator was included in the “inspection” query (the search query returning currently supported ValueSets/Code Systems) on a FHIR server. The answer is yes. The “version” attribute is a part of the basic ValueSet/Code System attribute set and should be returned in any search query. If a client only wants to know if it has cached the most recent version of a ValueSet, a search query should be sufficient, not requiring a separate history query.
