Sandbox setup - Jembi pre-production environment

Hi all,

I just wanted to send an email describing what I was saying on the call yesterday. Here are the current list of instances that we have to run our RHEA pre-production environment:

  1. OpenEMPI - m1.medium

  2. OpenHIM - m1.small

  3. OpenMRS SHR - m1.small

  4. OpenMRS PoC - m1.medium (we will likely need 2 of these to demonstrate the full workflow.)

  5. Apelon DTS + Jembi Terminology UI - m1.small
For setting up each of the Jembi tools here is the documentation that we have:

  6. OpenHIM - https://github.com/jembi/openhim#readme

  7. OpenMRS SHR - https://jembiprojects.jira.com/wiki/display/RHEAPILOT/RHEA+SHR+Adapter+module+Installation+guide

  8. OpenMRS PoC - The rhea-* github repos here for the code: https://github.com/jembi

  9. Apelon DTS + Jembi Terminology UI - https://github.com/jembi/ts-browser#readme

I hope these are fairly up to date but you will likely run into issues as you try set these up.

For the OpenMRS PoC, this is likely the most complex and the documentation isn’t good, unfortunately. There will likely be a whole bunch of things that you need that isn’t accessible in an easy way. Hopefully we can figure a way to get a set of files to help with the install to you.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Ryan

Hi Ryan.

Sorry to sound thick – but where are the FR and PR in this?

I thought we were treating it as a matter of convenience whether we decide to set up on the Amazon cloud, or locally. In my view, we will learn WAY more from setting up our own datacentre-hosted instance since that is what every country will need to do. This means we will need these two puzzle pieces, too.

Also – Hannes made a great point about installing at least 2 openMRS instances so we can test our “flow” (and some excellent deployment notes arose from our HIMSS showcase work on how to readily do this). Can I suggest we set up at least one mHealth application, too (RapidSMS is an obvious candidate because we’re using that in Rwanda). This was a glaring gap that we identified at the HIMSS showcase, and our sandbox initiative seems a great opportunity to sort out how such SMS-based applications connect.

Sorry if I lost the plot on this…

Warmest regards,

Derek.

Hi Derek,

This is just an informational email on what we have setup at Jembi. For the FR and the PR there are pre-production servers that are setup that are external to our setup. Intrahealth have been hosting the PR themselves and the same with the FR. Agreed, setting up RapidSMS would be great as well. This is just the information that I can provide on what we have setup.

Hope that makes more sense!

Cheers,

Ryan
