Integration Testing Update

Hello.
I just wanted to send a quick update to let you all know that OpenEMPI successfully PASSED Integration testing for the following OpenHIE V1.0 Client Registry Workflows:

**Special thanks to Ryan Yates, Ryan Crichton, Andrew Martin, Suranga and the CR community for making it over this hill! **

Next steps for Integration Testing:

  • Testing MEDIC CR (Mohawk)
  • Install a patch for a bug that was missing from the 1.0 installation
  • Testing Query and Save Patient-level Clinical Data
  • To get past our current issues, we need to upgrade to OpenMRS 1.11 and ensure that the CIEL database was installed and then install the modules in a specific order.
  • We need to work with Carl to verify the configuration for the InfoMan and DHIS2.

More information on integration testing can be found here: https://wiki.ohie.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=21331998#OpenHIE1.0IntegrationTesting(Philosophy,ToolsandData)-IntegrationTestingScriptsandData

Hi all,

Great work!

I just have one questions. Is there testing of OpenEMPI does through the OpenHIM or is it done to OpenEMPI directly?

Cheers,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

My understanding is that we have tested both directly to OpenEMPI and also (more importantly) through the interoperability layer.

Ryan Yates, Jennifer Shivers, or Suranga might confirm.

Ryan,

All of the integration tests are designed to test each interaction in the workflow. For all of the workflows except the InfoMan cache refresh, this means that the workflow starts with the PoS sending a message to the IL. The InfoMan refresh interactions occur between registries and the InfoMan (the PoS is not involved).

So…yes, we tested it through the IL.
