The leadership team has been working to formalize OpenHIE’s organizational structure and community governance, see original post here, to support community growth. Since then we’ve held discussions and drafted a Steering Committee Charter. We are asking our community @Leads team to review and provide comments on this charter by next Tuesday, May 26th.

We have now published the OpenHIE Steering Committee Charter and welcome the community to take a look at the charter and ask questions, here or on the wiki page directly.
Our next step is to come up with a list of potential committee members. You’ll see in the charter this committee is meant to be made up of MOH representatives and direct beneficiaries of the community’s proceeds so we encourage members of the community to make suggestions for potential nominees. If you have any suggestions please just respond to this thread with a name and organization and/or department.
