Developing a Terminology Service in Zimbabwe

Hi all,

For those who were unable to join

Wednesday’s
Health Worker Registry call I wanted to provide a short synopsis of the
call.

Yesterday members of the Health Worker Registry and Terminology Services communities along with representatives from the HITRAC group in Zimbabwe, early adopters
of the Health Worker Registry, had a call to look at the development of a terminology service.

Zimbabwe’s scenario has a hierarchy of different health cadres under the Ministry of Health and professional councils with different lists of codes. The goal
would be to map the different systems into one master list.

Over the next week members of the Terminology Services community will be loading code sets into code systems and making some linkages to review alongside HITRAC next week to make sure development planning
is done correctly.

If you have any questions please past them here.
